nelson is a small little place in southern nevada. the locals know it for the cliff jumping (nelsons landing) or as a photography backdrop. nelson bills itself as a ghost town, but it doesn't feel like one. the mining history is real, but the attractions have been collected over the years and littered around the property. it's an extremely popular spot to take photographs, and some movies were shot here including 3000 miles to graceland. i'm pretty sure that's where the "crashed plane" comes from.
