Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Greetings Earthlings,
Coming up next, it's the Land of Milk and Cheese - Wisconsin! Milwaukee, to be exact; Mom's got a gig at this huge place called the Garden Auditorium, and it's already sold out! WAY TO GO MOM!!! Jack is being a total pain in the you-know-where; he's studying up for his driving test and he never misses a chance to tell me it'll be THREE LONG YEARS before I get my license. THANKS FOR REMINDING ME, JACK! Is it just me, or does it seem like time crawls when you're thirteen -- I feel like I'm never going to get any older!! Send me your sob stories, friends!
Hello again,
Well, we had a visitor in Milwaukee, an old friend of mom's ... like, 1300 years old. I don't mean to make a joke out of it; Mom's broken-hearted all over again, like I haven't seen her in years. See, she had this friend when she was my age -- Rebecca -- the best friend she'd ever had (so she thought), but then the girl disappeared like after six months, and never contacted her again. Then this 13-year-old girl shows up during Mom's rehearsal, claims she's Rebecca's daughter. Mom is freaked, because the girl looks EXACTLY like Rebecca ... and then the girl disappears.
I found her, and confronted her about it all, and got the truth: The girl and her family have this, like, genetic abnormality, so they only age one year for every hundred we REGULAR humans age. Scary, huh? She obviously loved mom, and missed her; she promised to come tell Mom a little bit of what she told me, but then she never showed. By the time we got to her house, the place was empty -- they were gone without a trace. I felt SO bad about it. Rebecca, I don't know why you left, but if you're out there, PLEASE call Mom. She's lost so many people ... well, you already know what I mean ... it would mean a lot to her if she knew you love her.
