a modern shrine to my favorite childhood show

Fi's seen a lot of weird stuff on the road with her family! Here are some of her favorite weird stories.
PS: These stories are fictional and were created as episodes of a paranormal TV show back at the end of the 90s. All credit belongs to their writers at Disney.

Astral Projection

Instances of "out of body experiences" (either OBE's or OOBE's, depending on who's doing the abbreviating) have been recorded in over 95% of the world's cultures, dating back thousands of years. Descriptions of astral travel can be found in all kinds of ancient mystical writings, like Indian cosmologies, the Jewish Kabbalah, and the Egyptian Book of the Dead. And the descriptions are amazingly similar: "something" leaves the body during periods of unconsciousness, often visiting places far away that the person having the OBE has never seen, or in any case, isn't anywhere near. Nowadays, the experiences happen most often to children and adolescents, paraplegics, and people who have had "near death experiences", where they feel like they're floating above their own bodies. Some people have said they can even leave their bodies at will, the most famous being Robert Monroe, who even agreed to do it under laboratory conditions at the University of California, with Professor Charles Tart looking over his astral shoulder. They got some strange results, but nothing that seemed to permanently settle the question of whether Monroe was definitely having OBE's or not. But it isn't like Monroe is the only well-known person who claimed to be having OBE's --- how about Ernest Hemingway? (He even wrote about it in "Farewell to Arms". Ernie didn't seem like the kind of guy given to flights of fancy. So is this stuff really happening?
